Roxy

Roxy is a 10-12 week old, 17 pound Golden Retriever mix (her Mom is gorgeous Cassie and her Sister is beautiful Carly - 2 of our Coming Soon Dogs). Roxy is a shy and quiet girl - given that she was found with her mom and sister in a storm drain, makes her a little timid of people at first but then she warms up and loves to give/receive affection, be brushed or held.

 

Roxy is making great progress in her housebreaking abilities, and therefore, requires someone at home to let her out every 1 - 2 hours, given her young age. She will get in her crate to sleep at night on command and is working on ringing a bell to be let outside.

 

There are dogs of all ages and sizes in Roxy’s foster home, and she gets along great with all of them. While she would do well as an only dog, we think she would benefit by having a calm playmate to help build her confidence. We also think Roxy will do well with cats and small respectful children. Whomever adopts Roxy should be committed to taking her to obedience school to ensure she continues to be a loving and sociable member of their family, along with regular trips to the groomer, given her mixed pedigree.

 

This sweet girl does well walking on a leash and has not met a ball she won’t chase or play with.
