I would like to thank Releash Atlanta for allowing us to adopt Liberty. She was the feral dog with her nose hidden in the crack of a shelter wall. Even though we were outside of your regular adoption area, Releash Atlanta decided to take a chance on us and your foster Ariane drove Liberty to our house where she promptly hid behind the sofa for hours. Liberty has now been a member of our family for over four months and has made remarkable progress. Although I believe she will always be skittish and wary of strangers, she has gone from shy and terrified to a playful and loving dog whose tail is always wagging. Instead of hiding and trembling, she jumps in our laps and on occasion gives kisses. She even has her very own Instagram account. Liberty has also recently learned how to fetch. She and our other rescued pup, Ladyfinger, are the best of friends. Had Releash Atlanta not pulled Liberty from the shelter, I don't think she would've stood a chance at survival. Now she is living the good life with a family who wouldn't trade her for anything in this world ... all thanks to Releash Atlanta. We are forever grateful to your organization for bringing this amazing little dog into our lives. Keep up the good work!

"We can not thank Releash Atlanta enough for the joy they have brought into our family! We had just lost our sweet Maltese Loki at 15-1/2 to health issues and this left us heartbroken. We knew we needed another fur baby for us as well as our 6 year old Maltese Zeus. I was fortunate enough to have a friend in the rescue "network" and she helped guide me since we had never rescued before but knew this is the path we wanted to explore from now on. She made some calls and connected me with Ariane who had a Maltese among her fosters. Ariane read our bio and after speaking on the phone for about an hour she asked if I would consider meeting a mixed Maltese girl that she had as well because she believed this little gem might be a better fit for Zeus as a playmate... we went to her home and met both sweet babies and agreed with her regarding this little ball of energy. It only took a few days and we once again had a happy home filled with the sounds of chases, squeak toys, and wrestling on the den floor! Our hearts are full again and this sweet girl who started out as "Minnie" became "Meeka" and will never have another day in her life of not knowing love, security and being in a forever family. My friends all say she hit the jackpot but I think we did.

Much love and appreciation,
Scott, Priscilla, Zeus and Meeka Reid"

"When I first heard the story of a 6 week old puppy being thrown from a moving car (Gracie) and that she had sisters who were in need of some love I knew i couldn't not find out more! My fiancé Phillip and I had been talking about getting another dog, mainly me asking for one on my birthday every year and just getting stuffed animals, for my older dog Lucie who is now 13 years old and was starting to really show her age. Once I saw the sweet face of Stacie, whom we remained Daisie after my favorite flower, I knew she was meant to be ours. She has brought so much fun into our home for myself, Phillip, and especially Lucie with her sweet, cuddly, sassy personality. Lucie has more energy, is eating regularly and gets upset with me when I don't let her play with Daisie because of some medical things she has had to go thru. I love being able to help any animal I can. Thank you to everyone at Releash for making the whole process amazing and for just doing what you do! Every life deserves a chance!"

"We can't thank you enough for saving our sweet Ahsoka's life! She is an absolute love. She has high puppy energy still, but she's a smart cookie and learns quickly. Our older dog was badly abused and has always been fearful of new people, especially men. His little sister, who loves everyone immediately, has really brought him out of his shell, making him much more comfortable when we have friends over. Our (not so little anymore) baby girl brings us so much joy and has really made our little family complete. Thank you for all you do for these dogs!"

"Otto who was once Oscar has moved into our home and hearts 100%.  As you see from the photos he likes his green grass yard, toys, lap time and place to sleep  on the bottom shelf while his adopted mom sews.   Otto is an explorer with all traits of the smartest dachshund.    If he can sniff it he will follow;  if he can sit by you he will cuddle and if he wants to play he will do all in his power to get our 14 year old dachshund to play.  They have become great buddies.   He is gaining weight, his skin is beautiful and beyond some of his forever dachshund stubbornness he is learning to follow directions and trust us.   When time for bed he  is comfortable in his new bed.   What a joy to have Otto join our family.  Thank you Releash Atlanta and Thank you Fayetteville Animal Hospital.

"We adopted a yorkie named Mimosa this year, or "Mosa" as she is now called!

Mimosa was rescued from a hoarding situation, and extremely skittish when we first got her. She stayed in the corner for most of the first week, and cowered when we went near her. She instantly loved our other dog, Cooper, they had a best bud bond from the start, she was used to being around dogs, but not people! We were consistent about showing her love, endless cuddles, and treats! She was out of her shell in no time! She has the cutest, funniest personality and has made such a sweet addition to our home. Both of our dogs are rescues, and I think they express their gratitude with every lick to the face!

Releash Atlanta is such an amazing company, truly inspiring how much they care for animals in need and will do anything they can to help them! We had a really great adoption experience, everyone was very helpful and nice, and answered any questions we had! I did not know until today, that when you adopt one dog, you actually save the lives of 3 dogs. That fact brought tears to my eyes and I'm so very thankful for this company!"

"I first heard of Releash Atlanta when I watched the news segment. My wife and I had been considering getting a puppy for some time now but we were not sure where to start, and we knew we wanted to rescue and not go to a named pet-store. We had an idea in mind of what type of breed, size, etc. and when we heard that Releash Atlanta matches the perfect animal for you, we said "Why not give it a try?" We were in contact with Angelia who immediately sent several e-mails full of possible matches for us. The process was so smooth and seamless; and communication was fantastic. In less than a week my family and I were able to adopt beautiful Clara. I would like to personally thank Angelia for her hard work in matching us with Clara, and Releash Atlanta for offering such a great service to Atlanta!"

"Stumbling upon Releash Atlanta was the best thing for us wile we were looking for our 4 legged family member. Hallie sent us several options, guided us through their Releash Atlanta Dog Days at the Park event and helped us better understand what dog would fit our family. After a week of searching, we found Bear- a sweet husky/shepherd mix who was an owner turn in. As soon as we walk in the door he is all over us. He even likes to help me wake the kids up in the mornings :)"

"Josh and I knew when we were faced with the issue of having to leave our pets that putting them in a shelter was not an option. We would only see them go from our home to their new home…Even though we had to give them up, we greatly care for them and we didn’t want to contribute to the huge number of pets that need families sitting in shelters and pounds in our area.

About a week ago I was majorly stressed and anxious about finding Lucy a home… So my best friend Sarah prayed and my mom prayed and many others prayed… And everyone I know was asking around for a perfect home for her ASAP… Well, I was standing in line at Target buying a birthday card. I only had a couple things, so the gracious woman in front of me let me go ahead of her. A conversation about some puppy things she was purchasing led to me telling her how sad we were to have to re-home our dogs due to our big move this week she then told me about a wonderful group called Releash Atlanta. Volunteers match those looking to adopt a new furry family member with people who are unable to continue caring for the pets they adore. I was skeptical, of course, and waited until we were down to the last 3 days and all other options were exhausted before actually looking at the website.

I have to say I did not expect what came next at all. This is actually a really amazing organization. They not only match pets with people, the furry loved ones go directly from your home to the adopters home, with no shelter involved at all! If there is a time lapse from when you have to give up your pet and when they can be adopted they go to a foster home. Still reluctant but also down to the wire, I filled out an online application for Lucy to be homed.

The next 24 hours were a total blur! The next morning a beautiful person named Kristin emailed asking for a picture to post of Lucy. Within an hour Kristin and I had exchanged some 14 emails and several families were chomping at the bit to meet her. Kristin swapped information between me and a potential family (everyone who adopts through Releash Atlanta goes through a very strict screening process to make sure they are a safe, loving home for an animal). A few hours later we were signing adoption papers with Lucy’s new family. I won’t post a picture online for the sake of their privacy, but they were the exact answer to prayer for our Lucy! A very precious couple with two kids and a golden retriever. I fell in love with them and had total peace in trusting them with my furry baby.

All I can say is,”Thank You Jesus!!” And thank you so much to Kristin at Releash Atlanta for making a sad and difficult situation such peaceful, joyful transition! God truly did it again. He really does provide all our needs according to His riches in glory! Our doggies have a better homes than what we could have even hoped for. Now they are happy, well and taken care of, so we can have peace and security as we move into our next season!"
