- An abundance of patience and willingness to train (it might take me a while to get comfortable in a new environment - don’t take it personally!)
- At least one family member who is home most of the time (I don’t like being left alone!)
Hey y’all! My name is Wilson, and I’m an adorable 7-ish year-old terrier mix. If you think these photos are cute, wait til you meet me for real — you’re going to love my super soft fur and my huge ears!
I was hanging out, just living my life in a happy home until recently, when my humans decided to give me up through no fault of my own. I’m doing my best to adjust to life without them, but it’s hard! I’m content in my foster home but I’d like to find my new forever home as soon as possible so I can start settling in.
I love to take walks, get pets, chase birds and squirrels in the yard, play with my stuffed hedgehog, and I most enjoy long naps cuddled up next to my favorite human. I am an A+ leash walker and fully house-trained. My foster parents think I was a circus performer in a previous life, as I've got a mean high jump and can climb a ladder! Although I get along alright with the other pups in my foster home, I’m a bit of a loner, and I’ll growl at strange dogs who invade my space or get too close to my toy or my favorite human.
Separation anxiety is an issue for me, and I am basically GLUED to my foster dad. I hope whoever adopts me will be understanding and willing to work with me on this. For now, it is pretty important that my human is around and able to hang out with me as much as possible.
I know you are going to want to adopt me because I am SO, SO CUTE. But please ensure you meet the requirements above. My ideal forever home has a patient parent (or parents) who is willing to spend time training me, socializing me, and who will be gentle and kind to me as I settle in. If you’re able to provide that kind of home - please apply.
