Monarch is a gorgeous, playful, happy-go-lucky lab mix puppy. Abandoned in a cardboard box with his littermates, this little man has emerged as the confident but benevolent leader of the pack; he has a true sweet, goofy “lab” personality. He is expected to be 40 to 60 pounds full-grown, dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and ready for his forever home!
The Butterfly litter is eating 3 times a day, and just starting on their potty training! A general rule of thumb is that a puppy can “hold it” for a maximum of one hour per month of age, plus one. 9 weeks – about 3 hours. Adopters should expect that this litter will need to go potty every 1.5-2 hours throughout the day with a longer stretch at night, but should expect to be up at least one a night for bathroom needs!
Due to the high level of care and attention a very young puppy needs, their foster will be looking for a home where someone is there most of the time, and the puppy will not be left alone for more than 3 hours at a time.
