This is Yoyo the Yorkie. He’s a classic and authentic toy like his namesake. He’s fun and you can teach him tricks. Even if he is a happy and healthy 9 years old. At 13 lbs, he’ll never be a GI Joe, but he’s got a slinky, (wait, that’s silky) coat and has never met a lap he didn’t like.
He’s OK with other pound puppies around, but really just cares about snuggle time. YoYo is an owner surrender, so we didn’t find him under a cabbage patch. He hates a crate, but isn’t destructive and is content to chill out with you and watch whatever you want. He’s good around the kids too.
Unlike Chatty Cathy, he’s got a quiet, almost whisper bark due to a partially collapsed trachea. Like Mr PotatoHead, he’s lost an eye (didn’t everyone lose those?) but it doesn’t bother him in the least. Both of these conditions are common in purebred Yorkshire Terriers and do not require medications or special care- other than to use a harness vs a collar for leash walks which he loves and is very good about.
Other tricks this toy has: he will dance to go out if you are there but will use a pee-pad when you aren’t.
We’re hoping he can emulate Paddington Bear, and find a wonderful forever family of his own. Please look after this Yorkie, thank you.
