After many months, Clementine is finally ready to meet you! This sweet little one had a very rough start in life, so much so that she came to Releash TERRIFIED of humans. Our trainer told us we had a feral dog on our hands, but that’s ok because once a dog makes it to Releash, we are committed to working with them no matter what. We’re happy to report that in the last four months she has made incredible progress, and her sweet, playful personality can finally shine through. Clementine just wants to be loved and love in return. Her favorite things include following her foster mom and doggy sister around, playing with toys, running across the (empty) dog park at top speed, lounging on the big bed upstairs and being petted. She is learning to sit and "drop it." She is about a year old and still has a cute puppy attitude without being too high energy; she likes to zoom around or play tug of war for a few minutes and then will gladly settle down next to you or play quietly with her toys.
Because of her history, Clementine is going to require a very special adopter, ideally someone with a small household (1-2 people), no kids under 13, a securely fenced yard where she can run and chase balls, and another small, friendly dog to be her friend. But the MOST important characteristics in her adopter will be patience and the ability to provide her support and security as she continues to work on her fear, housetraining, and leash walking. She is going to take time to adjust, and she will probably never be a dog that you can take to large parties or a crowded dog park. But if you show this special little girl love, she’ll shower you with it in return. You can also follow Clementine's progress and adventures on Instagram at #little.ms.clementine
