This lovely lady with the long, flowing locks is Chili! Though she prefers to go by Lily, if you please. She’s a 9-10 month old something-doodle and she weighs about 40 lbs. All that beauty comes with one heck of a back story. She was rescued from a hoarder where she and 29 other doodles roamed with little human interaction for a long time. She’s come a long way, but she needs a very dog savvy home to continue showing her that the world (and people) is not a scary thing. To help with this, she would need someone in the home that doesn’t work outside the home for any length of time. She is very patient and well behaved with kids and would do well with all ages. She loves other dogs her size and larger! So much, in fact, that she needs at least one in her new home. She is choosy about her small dog and cat friends, so it would have to be a case by case basis. Her freedom must have given her wings, because boy can she soar! A fenced in back yard in an owned home is a must have, but because of her jumping skills and her past she can be a flight risk. A GPS collar and letting her out on a 20 ft training leash for the first couple months would definitely be necessary. Given patience, time, and the right guidance, she’s a big love and often snuggles with her foster mama. She is a lot more reserved with men unfortunately, so she would need a woman in the home to help her out of her shell and take care of her needs.
