Hi Ho! Kermit the Dog here. I am a cross between a shih-tzu and a pekingese, aka: a lap dog crossed with a lap dog. If you have a lap, I would love to cuddle on it. See, I’m an older fellow who had a hard life, so I’m making up for it now by taking it nice and easy. I’m about 10 years old, 13 lbs, but when I was rescued from the pound I was skin and bones - literally, and my skin was in horrible shape - very red, itchy and furless! It was embarrassing. The wonderful Releash humans gave me an allergy test. Once they knew my specific allergies and changed my food, my skin cleared up, so now my coat is quite dapper. They also gave me a whole bunch of medicated baths and medicines that helped, and I was a perfect gentleman through all of it. In fact, I bring the gentle to being a gentleman. I don’t bark or growl or snap or shed. I know to go outside to do my business (although it helps if you to remind me every few hours), and I’m fine with all other animals and kids. I don’t do walks, so you don’t have to worry about making time to take me around the block. I also don’t see too well, but my nose works perfectly, and I can selectively hear. Once I know the lay of the house, I get around just fine. All I need is you, your lap, your love, and your care, and I’ll give you all the cuddles you could ever want. Now, here is my fine print: I’ve come so far and certainly don’t want to go backwards, so I need my medicines, and I have to rely on you to give them to me. I take them like a proper chap, so it is easy for you. There is a pill I take once a day that helps with my aging brain, and another pill that I take morning and evening for the allergies, and eye drops that have to be put in my eyes morning and evening. They make my dry-eyes feel so much better, so I stand real still and let you put them into my big, loving, brown eyes. My now beautiful coat needs grooming, and a regular bath helps keep my skin healthy. If you have space in your heart and life for a senior dog who needs you and will be your constant cuddle bug - here I am!
