Sassafras

 

Are you looking for the SWEETEST dog ever?? Next up in the group that was rescued from an overpopulation/neglect situation... Sassafras! Sassy was a great mom to 4 puppies who have gone to their forever homes... like so many of her forme yardmates, she was heartworm positive but has been treated and her recovery is going well!

 

Sassy is just a gentle, sweet-natured, couch-chilling dog. She doesn’t need to be in your face but near your feet would be great please! Good with kids, probably fine with cats - nothing much fazes her! House trained and not a destructive chewer so doesn’t need a crate; she’s fine on a leash but her pace is more “amble” than “trot.” She does have some stiffness in her hips; she can get up and down stairs but no 3-story townhouses or hiking trips for this gal please, in the interest of her longevity!

 

If you are looking for a low-key, mellow gal who is just happy to hang out, she is the dog for you!
