Hi, my name is Eleanor. I am still young and about 14 pounds. Great size to get carried around, sit beside you, and go on walks with you! I really like to be wherever my family is and whine a little when you leave the room.
My back story is that a car hit me and Releash answered a plea for help. Immediately they got me to their vet and I got the best care. They couldn’t save my leg, but I am
getting around quite well as a tripod.
My foster family has two teens, two adults, and three other dogs. I hang with two dogs that are about my size and we get along pretty good. I might get a little jealous once in awhile, but foster mommy knows I like attention so she always gives us plenty. The main thing about me is I am easily scared by loud noises. Thunder and fire works are not my friend, but also loud claps or other unexpected loud noises may throw me off. I won’t go potty outside if I hear these noises out there. I will head back inside to keep us safe!
I really love walks. I may pull a little bit, but foster mommy will continue to work with me. Tonight I was in front of all the dogs and they all have 4 legs! I went in my crate all by myself tonight at dinner, but generally foster mommy has to help me get in there for meals or if she has to leave me for a minute. I don’t recommend putting me in a wire crate unless it’s beside your bed. If I’m alone in it I might feel the need to find you and bend the wires trying to get out. Foster mommy said that isn’t safe so she found a plastic travel crate. I’m getting used to it, but thankful she’s home a lot! She typically lets me hang with my furry foster siblings when she is around the house doing her housework. I go lie down on the dog bed. I don’t really play with the dogs here, but I do sleep on the dog bed or couch with them and seem to enjoy their company. I don’t like them in my face, but not too many of us like others that close do we?
My ideal home will need to be more on the quiet side with people home more often than away. I love the teens here, but I might get knocked over easily in an active house hold. I do scream if I accidentally hurt my leg. The vet tech said that is normal and not anything unusual. I don’t go up or down the tall stairs, but I can go out the front porch steps and back up them too. For the most part I am just like any other dog! I am so sweet and ready to cuddle with you!
