Mantis

Wish list: * fenced yard; this girl loves to run and play fetch!
* someone home most of the time for potty-training and socialization

Mantis was part of a litter of neglected Shih tzu mixes we rescued a few weeks ago... these poor babies were dropped at a shelter in terrible condition – matted, covered in fleas and crystallized urine, and terrified of everything.

But Mantis’s foster is thrilled with how she has progressed! She will seek affection and is quite the playful girl - she is kid-friendly and dog-friendly but is also happy to occupy herself with a good chew toy (although she would like to be in proximity to you while she does her own thing). She is still shy when meeting strangers but warms up fairly quickly! She is about 10 weeks old and not yet potty trained; adopters should expect that she will need to go potty every 60-90 minutes throughout the day with a longer stretch at night, but should expect to be up AT LEAST once a night for bathroom needs.

Due to the high level of care and attention a very young puppy needs, their foster will be looking for a home where someone is there most of the time.

READ FULL BIO BEFORE APPLYING; APPS THAT DO NOT MEET REQUIREMENTS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
