My name is Demi, and I have been anxiously waiting for the perfect time to introduce myself. I am a petite girl and weigh 11 pounds. According to my DNA test, I am 80% toy poodle and 20% golden retriever. I have one full year of life under my belt and love, love, love everything and everyone. My foster mom said she should have named me party since that I what I love to do the most. Or maybe quirks since I’m full of them.
I share a home with dogs and teenagers, and I keep them all smiling and laughing all day. Okay, so maybe not ALL of them and maybe not ALL day but that’s because some of the pups I live with like to sleep WAY more than me and possibly get a little tired of my energy.
I like to play with toys, LOVE to play with other dogs and people, like car rides, walks, snuggles, new adventures, repeat adventures, eating, snacking, running, chasing butterflies, frogs, and other odd things that move. I’m like buddy from the movie ELF except I don’t just get excited about Christmas…I get excited about EVERYTHING.
When I came to Releash, I had an old injury to my back left leg that needed surgery. I’ve been working on regaining the muscle in that leg by taking slow leash walks several times a day. It’s going to take time for me to build the muscle memory, and I may always favor that leg but it doesn’t bother me one bit. I am ready to PARTY!!
I would really, really LOVE another playful pup in my new home.
