Belle

Belle is ready to find her new home! This 2-3 year-old, 9 pound Maltipoo came to Releash Atlanta after she went missing from her prior owners for several months. When she was found, her fur was so terribly matted that Belle had to be sedated in order to be shaved down. But even worse, the tight fur severed her achilles tendon, requiring surgery. At that time she was surrendered to Releash Atlanta. Thanks to our great Vet partners at Fayetteville Animal Hospital, Belle had surgery on her severed achilles and with several therapy treatments, was able to avoid leg amputation.

 

You really wouldn’t know Belle had any problems with her leg as she enjoys leisurely walks on a leash, and loves to jump into the laps of her foster family (we think she is part spidermonkey)! Belle isn’t too interested in the other dogs in her foster home - she simply wants to be with and play with her people.

 

Currently, Belle sleeps through the night in a crate but we think she would love to snuggle with her favorite people. Belle has not been cat tested but her foster mom thinks she will be fine as she is most interested in her people.

 

Potential adopters must be willing to take Belle for regular grooming to avoid getting anywhere near the condition she was in when she came to us.
