Meet Shasta! This 10-pound (possibly) poodle or bichon mix came to Releash Atlanta from a very overcrowded shelter as an urgent request prior to the hurricanes to help clear the shelter.
It was evident from his condition that he had been neglected for a while. His fur is stained under his eyes, he had matted fur down all four legs and large mats all over his body But despite his rough past, Shasta's resilient spirit has truly shone through. He’s an incredibly happy and friendly pup who’s ready to embrace a new chapter filled with love and care.
Shasta is playful, snuggly, and absolutely adores being around other dogs. He'a good with kids too. His gentle and cheerful personality makes him the perfect companion for a home that enjoys both playtime and cuddle sessions. Since he hasn't been tested with cats, we're not sure how he’ll feel about feline friends just yet.
One thing to note: Shasta will need regular grooming to keep his beautiful coat looking its best, but he doesn’t mind the extra pampering. He is actually very patient getting baths and drying his fur.
Shasta’s excited for a fresh start with a family who will give him the love, care and attention he’s been missing.
