Hi there! My name's Merry! I got called that since I came to Releash Atlanta at Christmas time, but Foster Mommy and Foster Daddy say that it really fits me because I am the merriest little girl ever! I'm really enjoying life at my fosters', but what I asked Santa for is a family to call my very own sometime soon! Every girl deserves a forever family, don't you think? So, let me tell you a little bit about me! I'm a Maltese mix and I'm around two years old- just a young thing, really. I was abandoned by my previous people at the groomer's for crying out loud! I mean, who does that? I just tell myself that they knew I would be cared for there. The groomer called Releash after a couple of weeks and tada! Here I am! I get the zoomies sometimes, but what I really love is to snuggle with my people. I love to sit on laps and when I ride in the car, I sit on my Foster Daddy's lap, but I make sure to put a paw out for Foster Mommy to hold, so she doesn't feel left out. I'm good about pottying outside, but if I say I have to go, I have to go! I like my foster furries, both cats and dogs, and I like human puppies just fine as long as they're gentle. I think I would love a family where someone was with me most of the time. I would get lonesome and sad if I were alone for longer than an hour or two. Or, if my person had to go to work, I would love to be able to go along! I go to work with my foster parents every day, and I'm very good! I would like fur siblings, but it's okay if I'm an only child. Human puppies are okay, but maybe older than me, so they know how to be gentle and not chase me around. I'm itty bitty too, so if someone could supervise me outside so I don't get out of a hole in the fence, or swooped up by a hawk or owl, that'd be awesome. I love to play dress up too and I like to wear a sweater when it's cold. I'm all girl, so bring on the pearls! There's one (well, two if we're being technical) thing about me that you should know, but I bet it won't make any difference to you because I'm so danged lovable! I was born without back paws! One back leg is a bit longer than the other and at first Releash and the veterinarians thought I needed surgery. But I really get around just fine, and it doesn't hurt. Most of the time people can't even tell! If I get in a great big hurry, I just lift the shorter leg up and away I go! If you think you might like a little girl to pamper and adore, just head on over to www.releashatlanta.com and fill out an application! I can't wait to get to know you!
