Ellie is an approximately 4 year old female long haired dachshund who loves to cuddle and go on walks!  Ellie came to us needing a c-section to safely give birth to her beautiful babies, but they are all weaned and healthy and now the whole family is ready to find their forever homes. 

Ellie can tolerate other dogs, but is looking for a home as an only pet where she doesn’t have to share her toys or attention. Ellie will bark and whine in a crate, but does not typically use the bathroom while in there. However, Ellie is NOT house trained. She is looking for an owner who will be patient and consistent when working with her on house training and who will understand that she may never be fully house trained. Ellie has lots of love to give and would prefer a home where someone is home more often than not. She does great with older, gentle children who will respect her space and food bowls.
