Hazelnut

Hazelnut is looking for a forever family! She is a gorgeous German Shorthaired Pointer/Lab mix and will be a large bundle of love - between 75 and 90 pounds when full grown! She has been socialized extensively with people and other dogs and would love a canine companion in her new home... or an adopter who understand that puppies need plenty of exercise and playtime!

 

She is spayed, UTD on all vaccines, is sleeping through the night and making good progess on potty training. She is still a "baby" though so is looking for a family with appropriate expectations of puppy behavior and a willingness to continue her training.

 

Due to the high level of care and attention a young puppy needs, their foster will be looking for a home where someone is there most of the time, and the puppy will not be left alone for more than 3 hours at a time. Also, due to the nippy nature of new puppies, they may not be a good fit for families with children under the age of 5.

 

Although basic "puppy training" is highly encouraged for any breed, she is going to get very big very quickly and adopters will need to be committed to managing normal puppy behavior such as mouthing, chewing and leash training before she starts eating the couch!
