Adorable “Sunshine” has been Releashed! This sweet little girl came to us from a hoarding situation with several pups including her 2 sisters (Sweetpea, now Olive, and Otto). While Sunshine’s sisters were adopted quickly, our little Sunshine had something going on with her eye that wasn’t quite right. Sunshine would hide, shaking in a corner as far away from her foster family as possible - she was in such pain.
After trying several options, it was determined with the expert advice of Fayetteville Animal Hospital staff, that her eye needed to be removed. Well, let me tell you, once her surgery was complete, our little girl got her groove back and showed us AND her soon to be new family what a spunky and loving little girl she was, wanting nothing but snuggles and to play or be held.
But if all that wasn’t enough with her eye being removed, and just as Sunshine had her bag packed and waiting to go to her furever home, she caught a really bad cold and had to delay her trip for a week!
Now with her new (and very patient) family, Sunshine is spoiled by parents who work from home and a big brother, Rocco, who was missing the companionship of his buddy Linus, who passed last year. Sunshine and Rocco share a huge backyard, rides in a cart equipped with an electric blanket pulled by their Dad as he rides his bike, and endless snuggles on the couch.
We couldn’t ask for a happier ending and new beginnings for this sweet girl with spunk and grit. Live your best life Sunshine, and thank you to all who donated and enabled us to give the care needed for this sweet girl!
