Do you love quiet nights devoid of city sounds and loud noises? Would you find it charming if every time you enter the room he acts like he’s seeing you for the first time? Well, have we got the tiny scaredy dog for you!

 

Meet Rumpus, the sweetest little shih tzu pup. He's uncertain of new people (more apprehensive around men) and terrified by unexpected loud noises. He's still a pup so he is not fully potty trained but well on his way and he is crate trained. Rumpus will find a safe space in your home and happily sit there for hours, most likely the top of your couch cushions or under your coffee table. Once he gets comfortable with his people, he is a people dog! Even when YOU make a noise that startles him, he will run to you for comfort. He loves to snuggle and play with squeaky toys and be silly! He is adorable and a little dopey, but we can’t all be so lucky to be beautiful AND brilliant. Rumpus chose beauty!

 

If this little man sounds like a match for you, we believe the perfect fit for Rumpus will be:

- A home that is very patient with a scared dog, preferably an experienced dog home.

- A home with no small children.

- Not near loud noises like highways or trains.

- Ability to walk him NOT on a road as he is terrified of cars.

- Limited visitors because he has a serious case of “stranger danger”.

 

He is great with other dogs and would love to have a friend to help build his confidence.

 

He has not been tested around cats but has been pretty uninterested in most animals so he would probably be fine.
