Dawn is a precious lab mix who absolutely adores her chosen human and is incredibly eager to please. It’s hard to imagine her tough start - she spent four months in a lonely shelter pen after being abandoned at just eight weeks old. But now she's ready to start a new chapter with a loving family!
** Size: Petite lab mix, currently around 25 pounds and not expected to grow much larger.
** Temperament: Extremely dog-friendly! She has been socialized with dogs of all ages and is a respectful playmate. She might be fine with a cat who wants to be BFFs but if your cat has no interest in doggie play, they will likely not enjoy Dawn.
** Human Connection: She is responsive to human direction and eager to learn.
** Training Progress: Still working on being fully housebroken, but she is making amazing progress and will scratch at the door when she needs to go!
Dawn is a snuggle queen! Dawn bonds hard and strong once she knows you are a safe human; her foster mom’s favorite part of the day is when Dawn leaps into her lap and snuggles in for full-body cuddles. She’d thrive in a home with a confident canine companion, or with adopters who know she’s worth the love and patience it takes to win her heart.
She has been fully vetted – vaccinated, spayed and microchipped – and is ready for a fresh start!
