Leo, now named Jeff, has been RELEASHED!! He has two fur sisters to romp around with and a mom and dad who loved him before they even met him. Leo was a challenge for me. He came from living completely outside for the past 3 years. He marked all over the house, had no manners, and was heartworm positive. This dog would completely freeze when you would hold him and would lower his head and body when you reached down to pet him. He came to my house so confused that I thought he had no personality. Boy was I wrong! This little guy has bloomed into a goofy, spunky, playful, and snuggly scruff muffin- who is now almost fully potty trained!! His family could not be more perfect for him. They showed up in the nick of time and saw past all his flaws. Marking? They were willing to work with him. Doesn't know his name or come? That's ok, they wanted to teach him. Heartworms? They sent him a care package the day of his treatment and have checked in every day since. People ask me how I can foster and let the dogs go. And it's simple, really. I'd rather each and every foster take a piece of my heart when they leave than die in a shelter because no one was willing to open their home and heart to them. Happy living my sweet little man. I know you're in good hands ❤️🐾
